SPECIFICATIONS

The HP DesignJet T2600 Multifunction Printer Series produces 2400 x 1200 optimised dpi resolution and prints A1/D-size line drawings in 21 seconds/page or 180 A1 prints an hour.  Printing is easy and flexible with the HP DJ T2600 MFP Series, enabling printing from your desktop, laptop, mobile device, smartphone or direct from a USB flash drive.  The HP DJ T2600 Printer Series features 128GB standard memory, a 500 GB self-encrypting hard disk, and 4GB RAM, enabling the processing of complex files at high speeds with fine detailed lines (0.02 mm minimum line width) and highly accurate drawings.   The HP DJ T2600 MFP Series eliminates output clutter and delivers flat, collated prints thanks to the innovative integrated output stacking tray of up to 100 pages. Load paper rolls effortlessly, even when seated, with true front roll loading and automatic roll alignment.

The HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Series features an integrated 914mm scanner, with a resolution of up to 600dpi, and a 39.62cm touchscreen with a smart user interface and easy workflows, featuring easy scan previews and basic post scan editing.  Scan up to 7.62cm/sec in colour at 200 dpi or up to 25.4cm/sec in grayscale.  Copies can be done at up to 15.24cm/sec in colour at 200 dpi, or up to 25.4cm/sec in grayscale.  Scan to email, shared network folders (LDAP compatible), the printer HDD, and USB stick from the front panel, or with the HP Smart app, scan to email or to the cloud. Scan formats include JPEG, TIFF, multipage TIFF, PDF and multipage PDF. The scanner accepts media up to 0.8mm thick, and supports scanning of white, photo, and translucent papers, as well as blueprints (old or ammonia-based).  The maximum size that a scanned file can be saves as are: JPEG: 914 x 8000mm (36 x 315in); TIFF: 610 x 15,000mm (24 x 590.5in) and PDF: 914 x 8000mm (36 x 315in). The Quickset options allow settings to be selected, including content type (lines, mixed, image), original paper type (white, photo,  old/recycled, translucent paper, blueprint or ammonia/old blueprint), blueprint invert, auto-release original, input size, orientation, positioning, scan resolution, smart and detailed background removal, black enhancement, de-skew, reduce scan speed to enhance quality, format, compression, file name prefix and job storage modes (scan and delete, or scan and store).

The HP DJ T2600 Multifunction Printer Series incudes HP Click, an easy-to-use tool for batch printing a broad range of graphics and technical drawings.  HP Click is a drag and print Windows and Apple compatible solution, including features such as real print preview, automatic rotation, pdf error check, save media and automatic nesting.  HP Click supports single sheet workflow and is also available as a multi-installation version for IT managed environments.

Smart app, also included with the HP DJ T2600 MFP Series, allows easy access to files from cloud folders and enables printing them using a smartphone or tablet.  HP Smart app is ideal for printing from mobile iOS or Android device and does not require a cloud app installation.  HP Smart app has an extremely easy to us user interface and allows adjustment of print mode and media source selection, as well as resizing.

The HP DJ T2600 MFP Series includes PostScript and PDF drivers for Windows. For over thirty years, HP has been transforming the way design professionals in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Geospatial and Graphics markets operate.  In the late 1970’s, HP developed the first pen plotter and HP-GL graphics language, now the industry standard. In the early 1990’s, HP invented inkjet technology and applied it to DesignJet printers, making large format printing in black-and-white easy, fast and affordable.  HP continued to innovate, and introduced colour, faster printing speeds, and the ability to print high resolution images and complex files in large format in the same decade.  In the new millennium, faster printing speeds and sunlight-resistant UV inks were introduced, allowing Print Service Providers and Graphics Designers to create applications for both indoor and outdoor use.  Photographers began to adopt HP large format printing to replace silver halide, demonstrating HP’s ability to deliver superior image quality with prints lasting up to 200 years.  In 2010, with the rise of mobility and globalisation, HP launched its first generation of ePrinters with web-connectivity features and the first multifunction large format ePrinters with copying, scanning and printing in a single device. In 2015, HP launched the HP DesignJet T830 Multifunction printer, a robust, compact, Wi-Fi ready MFP with a built-in scanner at an unbeatable price. In 2018, HP expanded its proven HP DesignJet Z-series portfolio, reinforcing the focus on high-impact graphics with the DesignJet Z9 and Z6 PostScript Printers.  In 2019, HP has re-invented its technical series printers with the T100 Series, T500 Series, T1600 Series and the T26000 Series.  HP have shipped over 3 million DesignJet printers around the world and are the leader in the market with the widest range of large format printers for design professionals, whether single or multi-user environments.

HP DesignJet T Series Printers feature HP thermal inkjet technology and use a number of advanced HP proprietary technologies to achieve incredible accuracy, sharpness and superior colour fidelity.  The HP DesignJet T2600 Multifunction Printer Series features HP Scalable Printing (SPT), the HP 727 printhead and HP 730 Bright Office Inks, and HP Optical Media Advance Sensor (OMAS) technologies.

HP Scalable Printing Technology (SPT) allows HP DesignJet T Series and Z Series printers to deliver higher quality at higher speeds with more ink colours.  HP SPT is the result of HP’s investment of $1.4B and four years of research and development. SPT printheads were first introduced in 2005, and incorporate fluidic design and electronic control features required to meet the demands of commercial and industrial inkjet printing.  HP thermal inkjet printheads are produced on a silicon wafer using SPT integrated circuit manufacturing processes customized for HP inkjet applications.  SPT offers higher density circuitry that can place more electronic functionality on the printhead than was possible in previous generations of HP thermal inkjet printheads.  Each SPT-based printhead incorporates electronic circuits that process input and output signals, manage power, control the drop generators and measure the printhead temperature. Ink channels, drop generator chambers and nozzles for the printheads are built tighter across the surface of the silicon wafer and the manufacturing techniques for SPT produce complete, integrated printhead structures with features that are defined and aligned together with sub-micron precision.

The HP DesignJet T2600 Multifunction Printer Series uses the HP 727 printhead which features automatic self-maintenance and nozzle substitution routines to provide flawless image quality, lower running costs and more efficient ink usage during installation and cleaning routines and is designed to last the life of the printer.  The HP 727 printhead represents a significant advance in printing performance compared to the HP 11 printhead used in the HP 510 Printer, with four times as many nozzles per colour and twice as many nozzles per inch (1,200 vs 600).   The HP 727 printhead is part of a module that integrates the six-colour HP Thermal Inkjet printhead with the ink delivery systems for the six inks.  HP 730 ink cartridges are mounted on the printhead carriage and scan with it across the paper.  The HP 727 printhead features 1200 nozzles per inch, and 1376 nozzles per colour.  The ink drop size ranges from 5.5 picoliters (cyan, magenta and yellow) to 12 picoliters (black).  To ensure dependable and consistent image quality every time, the drop-ejection performance of every nozzle is periodically and automatically tested with an Optical Drop Detector.

The HP DesignJet T2600 Multifunction Printer Series features HP 730 Bright Office Inks, exclusively for use in the HP DesignJet T Series printers,  with the HP 6-ink writing system, designed and engineered together to provide high print quality, high reliability, and long life for HP 727 printhead.  HP colour inks are aqueous dye-based (cyan, magenta, yellow, gray, photo black) for the best range of colour across a range of printing materials and to produce colours optimised for technical graphics and CAD applications. Precision colour-to-colour alignment in the HP 727 printhead and dye-based HP 730 colour inks deliver sharp colour lines and text, a wide colour gamut with smooth colour transitions. HP pigment-based matte black ink delivers sharp black lines and text with maximum black optical density. HP 730 inks are fast-drying and smudge-resistant and produce superior lines and text and smooth colour transitions in images, renderings and illustrations. HP 730 ink cartridges are mechanically-keyed and colour-coded to ensure they are inserted into the proper ink slot.  Ink cartridges are easily removed by a simple push-to unlock/pull-to-remove motion and installed by pushing them into their slot until they lock.

HP Optical Media Advance Sensor (OMAS) enable printing at top speeds with outstanding results. This breakthrough technology improves paper advance control and accuracy, so the printer can print at higher speeds across multiple environmental conditions without impairing image quality.

HP DesignJet printers are designed for recyclability.  HP Planet Partners Programme (PPP) delivers free and easy recycling of Original HP ink and toner cartridges.  HP PPP is available in 36 EMEA countries and over 70 countries worldwide.  Since its foundation in 1991, more than 735 million HP ink and toner cartridges have been returned and recycled (as per 2017).  All HP print cartridges returned go through a multiphase recycling process where they are reduced to raw materials.  These materials can then be used to make new metal and plastic parts and products. No HP print cartridges returned and recycled through HP PPP are sent to landfill.  To further reduce the environmental impact of printing, HP closes the loop and designs its cartridges to be manufactured from as much recycled content as possible.  Nowadays, all HP toner and 80% of HP ink cartridges contain recycled content.  Most HP DesignJet printheads can also be returned through the HP PPE.  When it’s time to upgrade or dispose of your HP DesignJet printer, HP offers several environmentally sound options for renewing or disposing of your unwanted hardware.  HP Trade-in, HP Buy-back, and HP Planet Partners recycling programmes are all viable options.  Design Supply will be able to help you decide which option is best for you.
