SPECIFICATIONS

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF LED UV Printer offers a wide range of easily selectable pre-defined print modes and speeds.  The print speeds do not include the loading and unloading time and one table corresponds to 0.15 m². In 2 x CMYK the maximum production speed (without loading and unloading) amounts to 28 tables per hour with a resolution of 720 x 1080 dpi.

Intelligent design features make the Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF LED UV Printer easy to set up and operate. The VJ-426UF comes with a standard integrated vacuum system with electronically adjustable hold-down strength.   The vacuum bed ensures that even lightweight objects remain correctly positioned on the table and enables use of a magnetic board which can be placed on the table.  The print table is positioned in an enclosed housing, which reduces the attraction of dust during printing and provides sufficient protection from the UV light source. The VJ-626UF features an automatic table lift system with an obstacle detection laser and media thickness measurement. The LED pointer easily identifies where to place the media and locate the origin point.  Printing progress can be viewed through the transparent yellow hood.  The ready-to-print VJ426UF comes with an easy to navigate display panel, Windows Driver & Mutoh’s Layer Editor Tool to control white and varnish ink layers.  The VJ-426UF can also be controlled with a RIP.

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF LED UV Printer is compatible with ABS, Aluminium board, PC, PE, PET, PES, PMMA (acrylic), PP, PS, PVC, glass, and Tyvek. The maximum media thickness 70 mm (2.75 inches) and weight is 4 kg.  The VJ-426UF print table size is 483 x329 mm (19 x 12.95 inches) and the maximum print area is 473 x 319 mm (18.62 x 12.55 inches).

Mutoh LED UV inks enable printing on transparent and colour media with four colours and white and varnish.  Available in 220 ml cartridges, Mutoh LED UV inks allow specialty finishes and the single print head setup for the VJ-426UF LED UV Printer is optimised to work with Mutoh LED UV inks.  LED UV Mutoh LED UV inks are zero VOC liquids which do not contain hazardous air pollutants (non-HAP).  The average ink consumption is 1.6ml/table (0.15 m²) at 720 dpi with 67% coverage.  Two ink configurations are possible, 2 x CMYK (producing higher print speeds) or CMYK, 2xVarnish, 2 x White. The white ink circulation system prevents pigment sedimentation and ensures constant high printing quality.  Soft, flexible type LED UV inks are also available, suitable for flexible and stretchable media.

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-626UF LED UV Printer includes the Mutoh printer driver, which makes operation easy via a PC.  Print directly without RIP software through the on-screen display using Adobe Illustrator, Windows Office, or CAD software.  The Mutoh driver loads the image data and the Mutoh ValueJet Layer Editor Software enabes the printing of up to three layers with various combinations at one time.   Innovative layer printing function is exclusive to Mutoh and enables the changing of colours on the surface, to enrich the texture and enhance overall look of the print.  Mutoh LED UV inks allow specialty finishes, by printing one layer for CMYK inks, white (only) or varnish (only).  Printing three layers with colour, then white, then colour again can also be done, all at the same time.  The use of layers creates an enriched layer appearance with incredible print quality and stability at a high speed on a variety of materials with a wide range of applications.  Both flex and rigid inks are available.  The hard UV ink bonds with many different materials, and in some cases, may require pre-coating.  Printing on fairly flexible synthetic materials is not a problem because the layer thickness of the standard CMYK print is fairly thin due to the curing method and the relatively small droplet size.  If varnish and white are added the layer thickness becomes more perceptible but remains limited, end enhances scratch resistance.

ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM), is also included with the Mutoh ValueJet VJ-626UF LED UV printer.  Exclusive to Mutoh, this software receives printer status data via email, and allows remote access from a smartphone.  Monitor the printer status from anywhere, including the amount of printing data, ink and media cost, printing history, cartridge information, and so on.

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF LED UV Printer includes an energy efficient long life LED UV curing lamp, ensuring output immediately dry and ready for use or second state treatment.   The powerful long-life (14,250 hours) LED UV lamp is mercury and lead free, and ensures ozone free, safe and ultra-sharp prints, which are ready to be used or laminated after printing.  The UV lamp is on the side of the printhead and travels quickly across the printing surface.  The LED UV lamp does not create heat toward the media, making the technology extremely well suited for handling heat sensitive media as opposed to classic UV or water-based resin ink technologies generating huge amounts of heat or relying on high temperature to dry the ink. The UV light is only lit during actual printing.  The distance between the UV light source is considerable, and lighting can be dosed, which means that the dose for the return run can be adjusted differently during be-directional printing, which prevents the so-called lawnmower effect.  The large distance between the lamp and the print head allows for printing on mirrored surfaces without the UV light reaching the print head.  Air cooling for the LEDs are located at the rear of the printer.

Ultimate flexibility is achieved with Mutoh’s ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) app, for remote printer monitoring through a PC or a smart phone.  VSM, exclusive to Mutoh, maximises the performance of the printer for remote printing, by receiving printer status data  and allowing the remote monitoring of the printer status from anywhere, including the amount of printing data, ink and media cost, printing history, cartridge information, and so on.
