The Epson SureColor SC-P6500 Series has a versatile design which makes this printer an ideal fit for most work environments.  Compact, its ideal for small spaces, and its flat top surface is ideal for editing and as a proofing bench.  Front operation means the printer can be placed up against a wall, maximising floor space. Front access to the  roll holders, ink cartridges, maintenance box and integrated print catch basket aid in operation and make it easy to use in a variety of environments. The Integrated Print Catch Basket is simple and effective, and folds away completely saving space when not in use. The Epson SureColor SC-P6500D features a durable built-in rotary paper cutter which cuts prints quickly and cleanly. The SC-P6500D features a tilting 4.3 inch/11 cm touch screen user interface .

The 6-colour UltraChrome Pro6 pigment ink set, including a new grey ink, broadens the colour gamut and provides smooth gradation and less graininess. The Epson UltraChrome Pro6 ink set delivers superior image quality, equivalent to other 8-colour printers.  The 6-colour ink system (photo black, matte black, cyan, yellow, magenta and grey) produces durable prints with crisp lines and vibrant colours. UltraChrome Pro6 durable inks are water, smudge and fade-resistant. Photo and Matte blacks deliver deep blacks and crisp, dense lines, ideal for technical graphics, and the vibrant colours necessary for high quality prints and posters, on coated and non-coated media including board up to 1.5mm thick. Available in both 700 and 350 ml size cartridges, UltraChrome Pro6 inks are easily replaceable accessed at the front of the SC-P6500D.

The Epson SureColor SC-P6500D printer is the ideal production solution. Maximise productivity and flexibility  with versatile dual rolls enabling longer print runs without user interface, using two of the same size or different sized rolls. Untrained users can easily load cutsheet and posterboard from the front.  The autoswitch feature reduces frequent roll changes during busy times without user interaction.  Automatic roll feeding saves time loading new media or switching between different size rolls.  Automatic roll feeding aligns and adjusts paper for optimal tension during loading, and paper switching. The Take-up reel enables roll to roll printing, for easy storage and transportation, and ideal if using offline cutting. The SC-P6500D accepts rolls of media from 17- 24 inches and accepts cut sheet media via the sheet friction feed.

The SC-P6500D achieves high productive output speeds with the Epson PrecisionCore Micro TIP printhead, Variable Sized Droplet Technology and Nozzle Verification Technology. The Epson SureColor SC-P6500D printer features the new PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, state of the art technology resulting in fast, highly productive and reliable results. Complex jobs are printed with ease with unparalleled precision. The PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead is 2.64 inches (compared to the previous 1-inch version)and 1600 nozzles per colour resulting in increased productivity and high speed continuous printing.  The permanent PrecisionCore printhead provides long-life performance and combined with 700 ml  ink cartridges maximize productivity. The Epson SureColour SC-P6500D printer produces up to 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution and has a maximum print speed of up to  18m²/hour in photo quality.   Variable Sized Droplet Technology ensures superb image quality with a minimum droplet size of 3.5 picolitres coupled with Nozzle Verification Technology, an auto nozzle check system can be performed before every job or can be set to run automatically between jobs during unattended printing. It also includes Wi-Fi for connection flexibility.

The Epson SureColor SC-P6500D printer features reliable PostScript 3 support and 4 GB memory.  PostScript 3 support enables faster, more accurate data processing and driverless printing from mobile devices.  Adobe PostScript 3 reproduces complicated PDF files accurately.   Print multiple formats including data-rich files quickly and directly from leading design and CAD programs.

The SC-P6500D includes enhanced security and IT tools to ensure peace of mind when working with confidential documents.  With over 28 IT security features to assist with data protection and communication security, the SC-P6500D can be configured with an optional encrypted SSD , NFC Card support and support for Epson Print Admin. Improved collaboration and workload management deliver more efficiency with Epson’s central management tracking applications: Epson Cloud Solutions PORT and Epson Device Admin for IT managers. Epson Cloud Support PORT platform enables remote monitoring of equipment across sites, or multiple printers at one site, anytime and anywhere.  The Production Monitor is one of the apps on the Epson Cloud Support PORT and provides clear, easy-to-understand graphics to see at a glance how each printer in your fleet are performing.  Detailed data can be used to easily analyse productivity and receive daily operation updates form anywhere.  Maintenance tracking and remote troubleshooting services improve productivity and efficiency. The Epson SureColor SC-P6500D printer is powerful and secure, featuring SNMP, IPSec, AES-128, AES-256, Data storage Encryption, Data Encryption, WPA3, NFC – Card Authentication Reader, TMP (Trusted Platform Module), PIN code Release, Image Overwrite, User Authorisation, LDAP, IEEE802, and  SSL/TLS which keeps data confidential by preventing unauthorised access.  Features include Secure Print release via NFC/Pin/Password as well as supporting a wide range of security features.

The Epson SureColor SC-P6500 Series is compatible with a variety of media including: matte paper (archival, double sided, doubleweight, enhanced, heavy weight, enhanced posterboard, singleweight, presentation),  commercial proofing paper,  synthetic paper (enhanced adhesive, enhanced), fine art cotton (smooth bright, smooth natural, textured bright, textured natural ), fine art paper (Somerset velvet, ultrasmooth, velvet), matte backlit film, photo paper (gloss, premium glossy, premium luster, premium semigloss, premium semimatte, production glossy,  traditional), ink jet paper (photo quality), canvas (premium satin, production, waterresistant), proofing paper (white semimatte, standard), watercolor paper (radiant white), and rigid poster board up to 1.5mm for presentation or architectural models.

Optional accessories for the SC-P6500D include a 1 TB SDD and additional 24-inch roll feed spindles, and a 24 inch production stacker.  Reduce print times in a busy workgroup environment with powerful processing using the optional 1 TB SSD, offering a large amount of storage space and faster data processing for job caching and recall.  The industry leading encrypted  high capacity 960GB SSD saves jobs directly to the printer.  Workflow is quicker, releasing the PC faster and reprinting from the SSD, and the encrypted SSD enables secure, fast data processing and storage.  Passwords can be applied to each folder.  Additional roll feed spindles allow you to easily use, store, and manage multiple types of printing media.  The production stacker is ideal for high volume unattended printing.
