The Colortrac SmartLF SC 42 MFP scans up to 42 inches/106.7 cm and can take a maximum media width up to 44 inches/111.7 cm. The Colortrac SmartLF SC MFP Series accepts media up to 0.08 inches (2.0mm) thick. The minimum media size the Colortrac SmartLF SC MFP Series can scan is 6 x 6 inches/15.2 x 15.2 cm. Maximum image length for scanning is 96 inches (2438mm) using SmartWorks TOUCH MFP software (included). The Colortrac SmartLF SC 42 MFP has a maximum of 50,400 pixels.

Colortrac SmartLF SC MFP Series incorporates propriety technologies unique to Colortrac scanners. These technologies include SingleSensor, ClearView, SureDrive, Firefly and WinSync. Colortrac’s SingleSensor scanning is a patented technology which combines contact image sensors (CIS) in a robust, single-piece unit, enabling a significantly higher optical quality and dramatically increasing pixel alignment stability. The SmartLF SC MFP Series has 30,000 short image-path sensors and a custom designed advanced bi-directional LED lighting system. The bi-directional lighting system, called ClearView, combines 96 to 144 extra long-life switchable red/green/blue LEDs across the full width of the scanner for optimum illumination and instant-on scanning capability. SingleSensor and ClearView work together to reduce optical errors to a minimum ensuring all scan and copy data is of the highest possible colour and dimensional accuracy. Because each sensor is on the same imaging line combined with bright, even light from the LEDs across the full width of the scanner, scans have a wide and consistent colour gamut across the full width of the document. Colortrac’s SingleSensor is colour calibrated and has a scan accuracy of +/-0.1% +/-1 pixel.

Colortrac’s SureDrive system is an innovative active pressure roller that gently presses the document against the SingleSensor. The single, full-width, motor-driven hold -up roller eliminates variations in document speed or feed inconsistencies, eliminating the possibility of misaligned data. The soft pressure roller running the full length of the SingleSensor allows the scanner to dynamically respond and actively work against the optical disturbances caused by document lift and paper creasing. Shadow effects in folds of creased documents are also reduced. This technology ensures that delicate or fragile media such as newspapers and old blueprints can be safely and accurately scanned without problem. WinSync means the Colortrac Smart LF SC MFP Series is compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista.

Colortrac’s Firefly technology refers to the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and optimised USB2.0 interface. The SmartLF SC MFP Series scanners are the first to incorporate the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 digital interface with up to 75MB/s. SuperSpeed USB 3.0 is unique to Colortrac and allows the SmartLF SC MFP Series to work at full speed using higher resolutions on wider documents. Higher data transfer give the SmartLF SC MFP Series user the freedom to scan wider and at higher resolutions without compromising productivity, making it ideal for large amounts of archiving.

The Colortrac Repro Stand features an adjustable PC, flatscreen and keyboard so users can create the best working position, especially useful for large jobs and archiving. The Repro Stand accommodates any printer width, and allows printer heights of 45 inch/1143 mm, 43 inch/1093 mm, 40.8 inch/1038 mm and 39 inch/988 mm. The monitor support arm height from the floor is 55 inches/1396 mm and the depth of the stand is 34 to 44 inches/864 – 1116 mm. The maximum width of the stand is 79.5 inches/2021 mm.

SmartWorks TOUCH MFP software features two-finger pinch, zoom and flick controls for touch monitors. It also features scanning resolution settings of 100, 200, 300, 400, 600, and1200 dpi. 9 Document-type pre-sets make scanning simple, including pencil and tracing drawings, highlighted drawings and different colour, gray and black and white originals. Image editing controls include White and Black Point, Manual Deskew, Rotate, Sharpen, Invert and Mirror.
