The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 delivers 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution and produces A1 draft prints on plain paper in just 21 seconds . A1 Posters are printed on plain paper in just 22 seconds, or on heavy coated paper in 53 seconds. The TX-2100 features faster time to first print, and faster output speeds are made possible by the innovative 5-colour print head, sequence optimization, a continuous printing mode, and hot swap ink tank replacement.  The internal encrypted hard disk drive in the imagePROGRAF TX-2100 has 128GB standard memory and 2GB of physical memory, so no print job is too complex.

Designed for practicality and usability, the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 is designed to fit comfortably in any environment as a desktop unit. A compact, slim-line design with a smart media handling system the TX-2100 features an easy front-loading paper system, front access ink tank system, and front output enabling printing and changing paper and ink easily even when the printer is installed in a tight space or flush against a wall. Smart media handling automatically feeds and adjusts the paper, ready to print and automatically identifies the media type and size, standard or custom. A large, bright, intuitive 4.3-inch touchscreen display gives easy access to sophisticated functions. An intelligent detection system makes media setting simple and intuitive.

Ink tanks are available in 700ml, 330ml and 160ml sizes, supporting high volume continuous printing, reducing the frequency of ink replacement, reducing the cost per milliliter of ink, and reducing total cost of ownership. Hot Swap ink tanks allow ink cartridges to be replaced during printing for maximum productivity.

Printer driver flexibility for the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 addresses the needs of a diverse range of users. The TX-2100 includes an imagePROGRAF TX-Series Printer Driver and PosterArtist Lite software. Other software is available to download from the Web including a Universal Driver for network printing, a Quick Utility Toolbox, Print Plug-in for Office, and an Extended Survey Program. The TX-Series Printer driver supports HPGL/2, HP RTL, PDF (ver 1.7), and JPEG (Ver. JFIF 1.02). Design posters like a pro without any prior experience thanks to Canon’s PosterArtist Lite software. The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 24″/610mm large format printer features the LUCIA TD 5-colour pigment ink system which produces the sharpest, thinnest lines. Designed specifically for CAD, GIS, and Poster applications, a minimum line width of 0.02mm can be achieved with a range accuracy of +/- 0.01%. The LUCIA TD Ink system features a newly formulated MBK, which features high surface tension, eliminating feathering and generating crisp, sharp lines. Drawings can be precisely reproduced even on uncoated papers. LUCIA TD inks also create weather resistant prints, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. Enhanced reactivity between the LUCIA TD pigments and media components means pigments stays close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 accepts roll and cut media with a thickness range of 0.07 to 0.8mm. The minimum print length is 203.2mm for cut sheet, 101.6mm for roll paper, and 200mm for clothe, canvas, tracing paper and translucent matte film media.   The maximum print length is 18 meters for roll paper and 1.6 meters for cut sheet  The maximum media roll diameter is 170mm. Borderless printing technology keep you more productive as there is no need for offline trimming and Auto Skew Correction enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly. The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 includes a standard, multi-position basket which can hold a print in the standard position, and up to 20 A2 landscape sheets in the flat position.

Optional items for the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-2100 include a stand, an additional roll unit and roll holders, a stacker and an ICC card reader. The stand is ideal for those wanting a standalone solution, not on the desktop.  The additional roll holder is for dual roll feeding, meaning two different media rolls or two different sizes can be loading, improving convenience and productivity, and enabling seamless switching between two rolls, ideal for printing drawings and/or posters. The full frontal stacker supports high volume printing and can hold up to 100 sheets of A1/A2 landscape, CAD drawing, plain paper or uncoated sheets. In the basket position, the stacker accepts 1 sheet, in the folding position, the stacker accepts 20 sheets of A1 portrait, CAD Drawing, or plain paper or 100 sheets of uncoated paper.  In the stacking position, the stacker accepts 100 sheets of A1/A2 landscape, CAD drawing, plain paper or uncoated paper.  Prints are automatically neatly stacked by a new mechanical system which reduces curl of the whole output and supports high volume continuous printing. An ICC card reader is for smart card authorization to control access to the printer.
