In addition to high quality CAD prints the Canon TM-205 MFP L24ei delivers vivid posters on plain papers and outdoor poster solutions. Enhanced reliability and convenience include security features such as interface control and restricted-use protocol, allowing confidential printing data to be rigidly controlled. Printing cost management is easy with the built-in Account Manager which collects job logs and automatically calculates costs per job or time period and can be set up for multiple printers.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei features enhanced productivity. Canon LUCIA TD inks, available in both 130ml and 300ml, can be replaced during printing for maximum productivity. Direct Print and Share allows multiple files of different file formats to be efficiently printed with simple drag and drop operation. New features such as thumbnail preview and maximised window enhance operation efficiency and streamlines workflow of printing drawings. Printing sequence optimisation makes the Canon TM-205 L24ei up to 10% faster than current models. Drawings are neatly stacked in the order of printing. New software features include: PosterArtist Lite’s 10-language glossary for multi-lingual poster production; Free Layout Plus’s ability to easily create large-size prints of documents from familiar software like Microsoft Office and extra-large posters by combining multiple printer-width prints. Smartphone push notifications of job completion or errors can be sent to smartphones, enabling users to check print status while away from the printer.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei includes the MFP L24ei scanner with SingleSensor (CIS) scanning technology and multiple LED illumination for excellent line definition and accuracy. Scanning at up to 3.0 inches per second, the MFP L24ei scanner has an optical resolution of up to 600 dpi, scans documents up to 24″ wide and can scan up to 50″ or 1.27m in length. Scanned documents can be saved to PDF, JPEG, and/or TIFF file formats, either to a USB memory stick (TIFF, RBG, and Greyscale) or to a network via a PC using an Ethernet connection. The dedicated ScanApp Lei software boosts productivity with continuous scan and copy to the cloud, USB and/or PC.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei features a scan accuracy of 0.2% +/-1 pixel. In scan mode, optical resolution can be set to Draft (200 dpi), Standard (400 dpi) or Best (600 dpi). In copy mode, optical resolution can be set to Draft (300/300 dpi), Standard (300/600 dpi), and Best (600/600 dpi). The maximum media thickness for scanning is 0.5mm, and the minimum media thickness for scanning is .07mm. Scan speeds are as follows:

The scan modes include Scan to USB (RGB/Greyscale/BW, TIFF), Scan to PC (RGB/Greyscale/BW, TIFF, Jpeg, PDF, TiffG4), Copy (RGB/Greyscale/BW), and Copy+Archive ((RGB/Greyscale/BW, TIFF, Jpeg, PDF, TiffG4). Cloud connectivity is achieved by a link to Canon’s Direct Print & Share. The Scanner paper path is face up, rear exit and supports forward document transport only. Document return guides are included. The maximum scan width is 24 inches (609.6mm) and the maximum document width the scanner can accept is 26 inches (660.4mm). The minimum scan width is 6.2 inches (157.5mm) and the maximum scan length is 109 inches (2768mm).

ScanApp Lei, included with the Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei, sets scan directory and files types and can be run on up to 15 PC’s. Suggested specifications for a PC to run the TM-205 MFP L24ei are: Windows 7/8/10 – 32bit, GB Ethernet, Intel i3, i5 or i7 processors, 4 GB RAM, SATA 6.0Gbit/sec USB3 on the motherboard and SATA 6.0Gbit 7,200 rpm HDD controller. Scanning with the TM-205 MFP L24ei is secure, as the unique scanner model is supported by Scan App Lei only and scanning cannot be started remotely. Scan App Lei is available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Czech languages. The maximum number of supported imagePROGRAF printers is 15.

Network Modes for the scanner include Plus (default) and Standard. The Plus Network Mode uses full network capability and ScanApp Lei to improve functionality and productivity. Copy sends data via Ethernet to ScanApp Lei which acts as a print spooler to free up the scanner sooner. The Standard Network Mode prevents the scanner exceeding the network’s data rate capability. Copy uses on-board memory as a buffer, and then saves TIFF files only. Scan to PC uses on-board memory as a buffer before sending data via Ethernet to the ScanApp Lei. Scan to USB uses the ScanApp Lei to convert file types to PDF/JPG, and setting the correct date before saving to the USB stick. Scan to PC sends data via Ethernet directly to the ScanApp Lei to free up the scanner sooner.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei features updates to all core technologies, including the ink system, print head and mechanical platform. The 5-colour all pigment LUCIA TD inks are available in 300ml and 130ml sizes, and deliver improved print quality on plain paper and higher density clearer lines and text on uncoated paper with vivid colour expression. The new 6-channel, 1.07 print head optimises ink transfer and delivers 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution, and produces A1 draft prints in just 24 seconds. A compact 982 x 887 x 1060 mm, the TM-205 Series slim-line design with a front-loading paper system, front access ink tank system, and front output means you can print and change paper and ink easily even when printer is installed in a tight space or flush against a wall. A large, bright, menu-driven LCD control panel gives easy access to sophisticated functions. The TM-205 includes an internal 500GB hard disk and with 128GB standard memory and 2GB of physical memory, making no print job is too complex. The TM-205 supports direct printing of PDF’s from a USB stick, without the use of a PC or computer.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L243i features the LUCIA TD 5-colour all pigment ink system which produces the sharpest, thinnest lines. Designed specifically for CAD, GIS, and Poster applications, a minimum line width of 0.02mm can be achieved with a range accuracy of +/- 0.01%. The LUCIA TD Ink system features a newly formulated MBK, which features high surface tension, eliminating feathering and generating crisp, sharp lines. Drawings can be precisely reproduced even on uncoated papers. LUCIA TD inks also create weather resistant prints, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. Enhanced reactivity between the LUCIA TD pigments and media components means pigments stays close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei accepts roll and cut media with a thickness range of 0.07 to 0.8mm. The minimum print length is 203mm, and the maximum print length for roll paper is 18 meters, and cut sheet up to 1.6 meters. The maximum media roll diameter is 150mm. Borderless printing technology keep you more productive as there is no need for offline trimming and Auto Skew Correction enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly. The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-205 MFP L24ei includes a printer stand and multi-position basket, in the flat position it can neatly stack in the order of printing up to 20 sheets on A2 landscape drawings.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series CAD, GIS, and Poster (5-colour) wide format printers use a number of advanced Canon proprietary technologies to achieve fine lines, small text and highly detailed graphics produced with incredible accuracy and sharpness. The Canon TM Series builds on the previous success of the Canon TX Series, with updates to all core technologies, including the print head, ink system, and mechanical platform.

FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology for 5-colour imagePROGRAF printers features a total of 15,360 nozzles into a new 1.07″ high density, 6 chip print head. There are 5,120 nozzles for MBK, and 2,560 nozzles for C, M, Y, and K. Bi-directional printing design of the imagePROGAF printers means print times are significantly faster than conventional print systems which require multiple passes for each line to compensate for uneven droplet size and placement on the paper. An innovative ink-nozzle manufacturing method results in precisely uniform 5 picoliter droplets resulting in 2400 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) and outstanding print performance. The non-firing nozzle detection and compensation system ensures excellent repeatable image quality for every print.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series Large Format Printers feature the LUCIA TD 5-colour all pigment ink system designed specifically for the CAD/GIS/poster making market. Canon LUCIA TD pigment inks are water resistant, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. The unique formulation of LUCIA TD inks enhances reactivity between pigment inks and media components. Pigments stay close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper. LUCIA TD inks improve ink adhesion to the media and minimise colour bleeding. When black ink intersects with coloured ink (for example, words printed on a colour background) the black and cyan inks induce a chemical reaction that prevents black from bleeding into the colours. This means clearer text, smoother curves, and sharp fine lines even on uncoated technical papers. Using pigment inks also improves scratch and marker resistance so prints are far more durable than those printed with conventional dye inks. Canon imagePROGRAF TM Large Format Printers utilise two types of black ink for the best possible results on all types of media. For photo-type a black ink (BK) is used and for high contrast prints on matte paper, a matte black (MBK) is used. This process ensures smooth graduations across every media type and is highly efficient as the relevant ink is automatically selected for each media type. The LUCIA TD MBK is a newly developed pigment ink with high surface tension, resulting in less feathering, and lines remain crisp and sharp.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series Large Format Printers incorporate a sophisticated, ergonomic design in a compact body, with fully -front accessible operation that enables the printers to be flush against a wall. The TM Series features easy roll paper loading with a natural posture and a colour touchscreen display for easy and intuitive operation. The Canon TM Series features state of the art noise reduction technology, making the new Canon TM Series one of the quietest large format printers on the market. The TM Series features a smaller exhaust fan, and the platen fan, for keeping paper flat for enhanced precision printing. With its new silencer design the TM Series cancels the noise from the platen fan, with the exhaust fan, reducing the main operation noise. The TM-Series large format printers incorporates further noise suppressing design, including the roll-feeding system which reduces the noise caused by paper vibration, and the cutter system which suppresses the cutting noise with clean and sharp performance. As a result, the Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series has significant reduction in the main operation noise by up to 60% relative to current models.

Canon’s advanced L-COA PRO (Large Format Printer Common Architecture) image processor delivers faster high-quality output and print optimisation, even data-heavy HP-GL/2 files such as electrical CAD drawings with intricate lines can be processed quickly. L-COA PRO helps your printer carry out the most complex print jobs – where files can often exceed 200MB – with ease.

In addition, newly added disk encryption, protocol locking and secure data transmission makes the imagePROGRAF TM Series the most robust on the market with measures such as SNMPV3 and IPSec support to prevent leaks and intrusions.
