The Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series feature updates to all core technologies, including the ink system, print head and mechanical platform. The 5-colour all pigment LUCIA TD inks are available in 300ml and 130ml sizes, and deliver improved print quality on plain paper and higher density clearer lines and text on uncoated paper with vivid colour expression. The new 6-channel, 1.07 print head optimises ink transfer and delivers 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution, and produces A1 draft prints in just 24 seconds. A compact 982 x 887 x 1060 mm, the TM-200 Series slim-line design with a front-loading paper system, front access ink tank system, and front output means you can print and change paper and ink easily even when printer is installed in a tight space or flush against a wall. A large, bright, menu-driven LCD control panel gives easy access to sophisticated functions. The TM-200 includes 2 GB standard memory. (The TM-205 includes an internal 500GB hard disk and with 128GB standard memory and 2GB of physical memory, making no print job is too complex. The TM-205 supports direct printing of PDF’s from a USB stick, without the use of a PC or computer.)

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-200 24″/A1 large format printer features the LUCIA TD 5-colour all pigment ink system which produces the sharpest, thinnest lines. Designed specifically for CAD, GIS, and Poster applications, a minimum line width of 0.02mm can be achieved with a range accuracy of +/- 0.01%. The LUCIA TD Ink system features a newly formulated MBK, which features high surface tension, eliminating feathering and generating crisp, sharp lines. Drawings can be precisely reproduced even on uncoated papers. LUCIA TD inks also create weather resistant prints, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. Enhanced reactivity between the LUCIA TD pigments and media components means pigments stays close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-200 large format printer accepts roll and cut media with a thickness range of 0.07 to 0.8mm. The minimum print length is 203mm, and the maximum print length for roll paper is 18 meters, and cut sheet up to 1.6 meters. The maximum media roll diameter is 150mm. Borderless printing technology keep you more productive as there is no need for offline trimming and Auto Skew Correction enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly. The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-200 includes a printer stand and multi-position basket, in the flat position it can neatly stack in the order of printing up to 20 sheets on A2 landscape drawings.

Additional roll holders are available for the Canon imagePROGRAF TM-200. The TM-200 also available in an MFP solution, the Canon imagePROGRAF TM-200 L24ei, designed for scanning, copying and archiving requirements without requiring a PC.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series CAD, GIS, and Poster (5-colour) wide format printers use a number of advanced Canon proprietary technologies to achieve fine lines, small text and highly detailed graphics produced with incredible accuracy and sharpness. The Canon TM Series builds on the previous success of the Canon TX Series, with updates to all core technologies, including the print head, ink system, and mechanical platform.

FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology for 5-colour imagePROGRAF printers features a total of 15,360 nozzles into a new 1.07″ high density, 6 chip print head. There are 5,120 nozzles for MBK, and 2,560 nozzles for C, M, Y, and K. Bi-directional printing design of the imagePROGAF printers means print times are significantly faster than conventional print systems which require multiple passes for each line to compensate for uneven droplet size and placement on the paper. An innovative ink-nozzle manufacturing method results in precisely uniform 5 picoliter droplets resulting in 2400 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) and outstanding print performance. The non-firing nozzle detection and compensation system ensures excellent repeatable image quality for every print.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series Large Format Printers feature the LUCIA TD 5-colour all pigment ink system designed specifically for the CAD/GIS/poster making market. Canon LUCIA TD pigment inks are water resistant, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. The unique formulation of LUCIA TD inks enhances reactivity between pigment inks and media components. Pigments stay close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper. LUCIA TD inks improve ink adhesion to the media and minimise colour bleeding. When black ink intersects with coloured ink (for example, words printed on a colour background) the black and cyan inks induce a chemical reaction that prevents black from bleeding into the colours. This means clearer text, smoother curves, and sharp fine lines even on uncoated technical papers. Using pigment inks also improves scratch and marker resistance so prints are far more durable than those printed with conventional dye inks. Canon imagePROGRAF TM Large Format Printers utilise two types of black ink for the best possible results on all types of media. For photo-type a black ink (BK) is used and for high contrast prints on matte paper, a matte black (MBK) is used. This process ensures smooth graduations across every media type and is highly efficient as the relevant ink is automatically selected for each media type. The LUCIA TD MBK is a newly developed pigment ink with high surface tension, resulting in less feathering, and lines remain crisp and sharp.

The TM Series features easy roll paper loading with a natural posture and a colour touchscreen display for easy and intuitive operation. The Canon TM Series features state of the art noise reduction technology, making the new Canon TM Series one of the quietest large format printers on the market. The TM Series features a smaller exhaust fan, and the platen fan, for keeping paper flat for enhanced precision printing. With its new silencer design the TM Series cancels the noise from the platen fan, with the exhaust fan, reducing the main operation noise. The TM-Series large format printers incorporates further noise suppressing design, including the roll-feeding system which reduces the noise caused by paper vibration, and the cutter system which suppresses the cutting noise with clean and sharp performance. As a result, the Canon imagePROGRAF TM Series has significant reduction in the main operation noise by up to 60% relative to current models.

Canon’s advanced L-COA PRO (Large Format Printer Common Architecture) image processor delivers faster high-quality output and print optimisation, even data-heavy HP-GL/2 files such as electrical CAD drawings with intricate lines can be processed quickly. L-COA PRO helps your printer carry out the most complex print jobs – where files can often exceed 200MB – with ease.

In addition, newly added disk encryption, protocol locking and secure data transmission makes the imagePROGRAF TM Series the most robust on the market with measures such as SNMPV3 and IPSec support to prevent leaks and intrusions.
