The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 delivers 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution and features the following print speeds in minutes:

New levels of automatic media handling using artificial intelligence and more smart workflow options than ever before  minimizing manual intervention, and speeding up  prints and profits. The automatic, accurate media handling feature takes the guess work out of setting up the printer. Just put the media roll on the feeder, and the PRO-2600 loads it automatically, sensing the type and size of the paper and eliminating the chance of a stray fingerprint spoiling the job.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 includes a smart control panel, which tracks paper usage, tells the user how much paper is left, and if it’s enough to complete the job, eliminating the waste of time, paper and ink. Two sensors, one at the roll unit and the other near the printing area, measure how much media has been fed into the machine.   Most commonly used operations including ‘Load’, ‘Feed’ and ‘Cut’ are now hard keys on the control panel.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 includes a new version of Canon’s Professional Print & Layout software, featuring automated nesting, which arranges images to make the most economic use of the area to print, so you get the most out of the media.  Just drag and drop the images to be printed, and the software automatically works out what goes where. The software also features pattern printing, eliminating trial and error time-wasting on colour compensation.  Pattern printing prints multiple thumbnails to check brightness, contrast and other variables, so users can choose the best options before printing the final output, saving time, media and ink.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 delivers improved borderless printing in various formats, easy to do, and without the need for time-consuming finishing.  An advanced media sensor detects the edges and automatically adjusts the margins for pinpoint accuracy.  Choose ‘free’ size or three-sided borderless.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 features a vast range of connectivity options, offering versatility and flexibility to integrate into existing professional workflows.  The imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 includes Canon’s Print Studio Plug in, which allows printing quickly from a range of advanced software suites, such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Canon’s Digital Photo Professional.  The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 features Wi-Fi functionality, offering the freedom to print from a variety of devices and popular applications and for easy connection and quick setup for wireless networks, as well as a built-in high speed USB2.0 port, and Ethernet connections.  The PRO-2600 features fast and easy printing directly of PDF and JPEG file formats from a USB memory stick.

The imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 media handling features front-loading and front output for roll and cut sheet media and can accept a width of 152.4 – 610mm and thickness of 0.07 – 0.8mm. The maximum printable length for roll paper is 18 meters, and 1.6m for cut sheet. The minimum printable length for cut sheet is 203.2mm and 101.6mm for roll paper, and a maximum media roll diameter is 170mm.  The PRO-2600 supports borderless printing technology, increasing productivity as there is no need for offline trimming.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 has an easy-to-use, 3.5 colour LCD touch screen operation panel which provides clear menu-driven controls for all functions and informs users of the media being used and the remaining print levels, for assured, non-stop productivity. The ergonomic design of the PRO-2600 provides a flat top surface for print checking.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 has a new print head monitoring function and auto alignment adjustment.  Additionally, a number of built-in technologies enable effortless printing of high quality images which ultimately conserves ink and media. The robust chassis of the imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 reduces vibrations, which improves the accuracy of the ink droplet placement. The Auto Skew Correction function guarantees that all types of paper, including thick paper, can be printed without misalignment and enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly. The vacuum feeding system keeps paper flat regardless of paper weight and type during printing, which helps ensure accurate placement of ink droplets on paper. The PRO-2600 features a standby mode, which will periodically agitate the ink tanks and warms up the print head, keeping ink from drying up inside and clogging nozzles. In the event that a nozzle gets clogged, Canon has a non-firing nozzle detection and compensation system, which turns on back -up nozzles to prevent drop-outs during a print, ensuring highest quality prints every time.

The imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 printer features Canon’s new LUCIA PRO II ink system. The LUCIA PRO II high longevity pigment ink system includes eleven newly formulated inks which together with a specialist Chroma Optimizer ink, ensures professional quality monochrome prints with increased black density and uniform glossiness. The newly developed LUCIA PRO II inks include Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Grey, Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta, Photo Grey, Red, Blue and the Chroma Optimiser.   The Matte Black ink is the same as used by the Canon imagePROGRAF GP 2000/ GP 4000 printers.    The LUCIA PRO II inks are available in 160ml, 330ml, and 700ml hot swap ink tanks for uninterrupted printing. LUCIA PRO II inks deliver a broader colour gamut when printing on fine art paper and expanded colour areas in dark areas. The LUCIA PRO II ink system features dedicated nozzles for each of the black inks (Photo and Matte Black), saving time and ink by eliminating the need to change inks when changing papers. The Chroma Optimiser improves light reflection and reduces bronzing by regulating the ink-droplet height for an even brilliance across the print surface.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 guarantees colour consistency between jobs and different production sites. The PRO-2600 features a built-in colour density sensor to optimise output, adjusting the ink levels depending on the media being used, and ensuring consistent and accurate colour reproduction. The PRO-2600’s versatile software connectivity handles a single-user to a multi-location business, design firm, or print service provider. In addition to the Canon Print Studio Pro Plug-in software for Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Canon Digital Photo Pro, the PRO-2600 includes the Device Management Console, an administration tool which allows a lab manager or administrator to organise and control multiple PRO-2600’s in multiple locations, even remotely in other parts of the world. Monitor ink levels, paper levels, or adjust various device settings all from a single computer. Use the Device Management Console to calibrate and set up two printers to the exact same specifications, profiles and calibrations, so you can print precisely the same-looking print in two different locations. The PRO-2600 includes new Accounting Manager software, available for the Mac and PC, which helps organise pricing and supply for ink and paper per a specific print job, great for any educational lab setting or for customer billing per print job.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 ensures the correct balance and mixture of inks, with precise ink droplet placement, to achieve optimum quality photos at a professional grade by incorporating a new Canon’s L-COA (Large Format Common Architecture) PRO Image Processing System.  The L-COA PRO engine works with a 3 GB internal memory core and 500GB encrypted hard drive to process large volumes of data at high speeds.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 is bundled with Canon’s Print Plug-In for Microsoft Office and PosterArtist Lite software. PosterArtist Lite is ideal for users unfamiliar with design can create professional-looking posters, display items, presentation charts and other large format documents. In just four simple steps you can create professional looking posters, banners and signs using a variety of templates, high resolution, royalty-free images and clipart with PosterArtist Lite.

Optional accessories for the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 is the roll unit, which supports continuous paper feeding and auto-switching, or automatic take-up of printer output, printer stand, and 2/3″ roll holders. The Media Take-up roll unit includes a dual direction roll take up unit allowing the print surface to be wound inside or outside of the roll.

There is an extensive range of Canon and third party media compatible with the imagePROGRAF PRO-2600; including Canon approved ICC profile paper, gloss, semi-gloss, matte, fine art, canvas, and glossy photo papers including satin, glossy photo and embossed papers, water resistant canvas, adhesive-backed materials and films. Canon has worked with third-party paper companies to design better, more specific profiles for other brands of photo paper, allowing for more precise, accurate prints for a specific medium. The Media Configuration Tool software lets you select from various paper types for a specific print job and even fully customise and configure pre-sets for custom print media.
