The Canon LUCIA EX pigment ink system provides UV stable inks with exceptional water resistance and colourfastness. The additional red ink faithfully reproduces the reds and oranges.

The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6400SE incorporates a number of new productivity tools including Hot Swap ink tanks which enable uninterrupted printing for greater productivity and reduced downtime. Available in both 130ml and 300ml sizes, Hot Swap ink tanks feature a sub-ink tank which allows for non-stop printing, even during ink tank replacement. An automated email alert lets you know when it’s time to change ink tanks, replace media or notifies you when a job has finished, making this printer ideal for the production environments by supporting continued productivity where it counts most. Print quickly in fast economy mode, minimising production time and keeping costs low. Productivity is improved through a new mirrored nozzle layout and the option to print in Fast mode, which enables the print speed to be as much as doubled, while still maintaining a level of print quality that rivals that in standard mode. When turnaround is time critical, for posters and point-of-sale (POS) items, this feature is a major advantage. With streamlined dimensions, the iPF6400SE is ideal for small retail stores or offices with limited space, making it possible to print on demand within budget.

The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6400SE features maximum versatility. Tailored to suit any expertise level, the iPF6400SE easily produces a wide range of posters and graphics right out of the box with powerful poster solutions. Create better looking posters in no time at all, with PosterArtist Lite software, with automatic colour correction and background removal included as standard. For more a more familiar user interface, the Print Plug-in for Microsoft Office prints poster sized documents and graphics created in Microsoft Work, PowerPoint or Excel. An optimised AutoCAD driver is also included. The Canon Direct Print & Share Utility enables the uploading of multiple formats (PDF, TIF or JPEG files) and allows access to print from anywhere, streamlining print workflows by simplifying the printing process and offering cloud-based sharing. Direct Print & Share prints files directly without starting an application or accessing the printer driver. It enhances productivity through co-ordinated processing of multiple files and enables batch printing of JPEG, TIF and PDF files. Scanner and copier support is also available via the Page Layout and IR Enlargement Copy software.

Fast Economy Mode printing saves time and ink for those cost sensitive jobs. MANUFACTURER INFORMATION

Canon ImagePROGRAF wide format printers use a number of advanced Canon proprietary technologies. FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology features a total of 15,360 nozzles into just one 1″ 6-chip high density print head. There are 2,560 nozzles for each colour, black, matte-black, magenta, cyan, yellow and red. Bi-directional printing design of the imagePROGAF printers means print times are significantly faster than conventional print systems which require multiple passes for each line to compensate for uneven droplet size and placement on the paper. An innovative ink-nozzle manufacturing method results in precisely uniform 4 picoliter droplets resulting in 2400 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution and outstanding photo-quality print performance.

Canon’s unique LUCIA EX pigment ink systems incorporate 6 colours and superfine 4-pl (picoliter) ink droplets ensures a wide colour gamut, smooth gradation, reduced graininess and reduced bronzing. LUCIA EX ink systems increases the colour gamut by around 20% and have an innovative polymer structure that results in exceptional scratch resistance and protection from colour fading, while reducing bronzing to ensure durable, stable output. Specific technology controls ink placement according to the ink’s characteristics resulting in superb contrasts and detailed graduation in dark areas.

Canon’s advanced L-COA (Large Format printer Common Architecture) image processor delivers faster high-quality output and print optimization. L-COA helps your printer carry out the most complex print jobs – where files can often exceed 200MB – with ease.
